dive in.... |
Moving, packing, cleaning, fixing, painting, lifting.....all have turned me into a limping, hurting, sciatica suffering, aching mess. Then yesterday morning I decided to listen to my own advice and went swimming. I am now back in alignment and walking upright without moaning....My sciatic nerve is no longer causing my right leg to swell and ache. Swimming stretched me and realigned my body...I am so grateful that I can avoid a doctor's appointment and take care of myself...... Swimming.....an aging body's best friend.....

Hello:
Sciatica can be so very uncomfortable and painful so we do sympathise with your predicament. It is, we believe, important to stop when your body is giving you warning meassages but, sometimes, needs must.
However, the welcome healing of swimming. You sound as if it has all made a new woman out of you but don't rush back into all that heavy manual work. Pour and drink a glass of wine instead. We know that this is rather shaming but it is our recipe for medical assistance as neither of us likes swimming!
great advice. i'll try it next time my body doesn't behave.
I suffer the sciatic slump too. Swimming always realigns my spine and my spirit. What a timely reminder today :) Cheers!
swimming! such a good solution to ailments!
moving is so hard. packing is the worst! but swimming sounds like the perfect solution!
so glad you feel better after swimming- Maybe I should try that for my sore shoulder after two days of climbing.
Glad the swimming has done the trick for you. My feet were so sore yesterday from our hiking that I gave them a nice soaking and rubbed some cream into them, they felt much better. Hope the move is going well.
