almost time for a swim....

early mornings are magic on the river.....

I stopped in the middle of the one lane,  Perry's bridge.......looking upriver.........it turned into a beautiful day....
downriver....pastoral and shire like.....
floaters passing by.......
Summer has come to the happy valley that I now call home......the Slocan River is slowing down and warming up......the mosquitoes don't like the hot sun so it's not as crazy out there.......almost time for a swim.....

Hello:
We continue to be in absolute awe of the beauty of the countryside in and around your home.

How wonderful to watch the morning mist lift over the water, something which your pictures capture so well, and to observe the complete change of mood as the day progresses.

Do you, we wonder, actually swim in the river? We imagine that, like most 'outside' water, it is quite cold and, as is so often with rivers, there may well be strong currents. But to have a little rowing boat.....we shall dream on!

Magic it looks, but not as magic as for a swim :-) It must be cold!

Yes, it is shire-like! I almost expect to see Gandalf and the hobbits strolling by!
