an English girl in Paris....

This compelling photograph was taken by Douglas Kennedy of Vancouver. It was 1983, but it could just as easily been 1963 or yesterday. There is a timeless, dreamlike quality that is enhanced by the sepia tone. We sold lots of Douglas's work for him and I collected a few pieces along the way.  "An English girl in Paris," really resonates with me.....I was a young, blonde, traveller on the road and the gypsy look was one I was fond of.   This original photo is 24 x 36  inches in size and it is one of my favourite pieces.

I love that photo! I think sepia and black and white photos often have an emphasis about them that color sometimes doesn't capture.
