Beatrice Wood is an inspiration to me because of her lifelong commitment to art. She died when she was 105 and was creating beautiful pottery right until that time. She became a potter in her 40's and  developed gorgeous luster glazes. I love her tenacity.  So many potters give up pottery because it is such a demanding and frustrating medium. The lovely earthenware drawing of two women she did when she was 97.
