If everybody had an ocean....
If everybody had an ocean....across the U.S.A.....then everybody be asurfin....surfin U.S.A..... I can't help my self...when I'm painting, .... if a song matches the work.....that's it...I'm singing it over and over...Subliminal messages from ???? The beach boys..... I guess.....I was only nine when this hit the charts in 1963 but I was a surfer chick already. Greasers were the opposite of surfers. Those were really the only two distinctions in my neighbourhood. Then a boy in my school started growing his hair long and then wore a pink, polka dot shirt to school! It was extremely daring and we all tuned into the latest vibe....the rest is history................a bushy bushy blonde hairdo....surfin U.S.A.

I'm now back in Redondo Beach, circa 1965. Good times!
Hahahaha! love the references to the surfin' life of the 60s...something I only witnessed on television because we lived in Minnesota where there's no surfing on 10,000 lakes!
You have a such a lovely blog, and this post is just beautiful, as always! Best wishes for a beautiful weekend. Thank you for your kind words.

I love the ocean! and yes, that song fits perfectly.
I love the contrast of the blue against the yellow - makes me feel melancholy.
