I picked up a copy of, " Crones Don't Whine, concentrated wisdom for juicy women." by Jean Shinoda Bolen M.D. , at a little bookstore in Vancouver. It was a gift for a relative so I only had time to scan the little book. I will be ordering a few copies at my local book store tomorrow. It is a quick read and a wonderful, uplifting reminder of qualities we should all cultivate as wise women. An affirmation of our power years!......... a guide to help us age gracefully......at only $15 it is the perfect, small, energizing gift.

the word 'crone' is from 'krone' - meaning crown
so was originally describing the period of a woman's life when she was supposed to have reached the height of her wisdom and powers
an old Crone was not to be trifled with!
