the Pablo tree |

The sun shone for us this beautiful, Thanksgiving weekend. Our dog, Pablo died this summer and we decided to plant a maple tree beside his resting spot. This weekend we finally made it to the nursery and found the perfect Autumn Blaze Maple. It feels great to be able to look out the window and see the Pablo Tree. We have lived here for over 20 years and this is the first time that we have not had a frost by Thanksgiving. Flowers and autumn leaves..... First Nations summer continues.....

Each shot is as gorgeous and intriguing as the next. I love stopping by your place...it gives me a lift and puts me at ease. All at the same time :)
So glad you are getting the sunshine! We've had such a gorgeous week in the Valley, but the rains came yesterday afternoon. But that's okay - it's nice to see the green again.
What a nice tree in memory of Pablo.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I've never heard of "First Nations Summer" before but am deducing that it's the same as what we call "Indian Summer" in America. I suppose that's politically incorrect at this point...we should be calling it Native American Summer?
Glad to see the Pablo Tree. That was a beautiful thing to do and you'll be glad you did it.
such lovely lighting! you must be loving the weather!

I'm glad you got such a beautiful weekend for Thanksgiving. And I love the photos, but I'm a huge fan of both calla lilies and red Virginia Creeper in the fall.
Lovely photographs! A belated Happy Thanksgiving!
Ps: I am hosting a beautiful GIVEAWAY today...I hope you will join in:)
