"happy talk, keep talking happy talk,
talk about things you like to do,
you gotta have a dream,
if you don't have a dream,
how you gonna have a dream come true..."
We used to listen to the "South Pacific" soundtrack a lot when I was growing up.
Now I wonder about racial stereotyping and other politically incorrect subjects that "South Pacific" focused on. ......

Hello Susan:
Sadly, the lessons of History are, as you say, rarely kind and, amazingly, continue to be repeated. Do we ever learn?
Your painting does, however, have a jolly feel to it. The colours are joyful and remind us of exotic plants swaying to the beat of the breeze.
Because of my grands we have discussions about the "good old days". Sometimes when I think about South Pacific or West Side Story or read Song of the South, I think how numbed we were made by the blatant racial lines drawn but blurred and then a book like The Help comes along and puts it into perspective.
I love your creations it is very happy talk and lively.
Oma Linda
love that happy talk art.
Makes you wonder what we do now that we will look back on, aghast at ourselves.
Oh, this, indeed, looks like happy talk! One would never guess you live in a wintry world!!!
I think I've just dropped over from Miracle Sisters.
You and I probably listened to the same version of South Pacific. I even went to see the movie, after listening to the music.
If the "happy talk" picture is your work, I can see why people would be attracted to it.
Blessings and Bear hugs.
This really caught my eye....Love!!!
