Extreme rainfall warnings and the Slocan River is still rising......The skies are grey and foreboding and the rain relentless....the barometric pressure makes everybody feel on edge........ambulance sirens in the distance.......mud slides have closed the highways.........Mother Nature is supreme.

Hello Susan:
This all looks most alarming, if not frightening. We do trust that all will be well with you and others.
"Mother Nature is supreme." She sure is! Are those your now soggy runners by the picnic table?
supreme and oh so beautiful....love these photos, they really capture emotion..
Wow! We had a rainfall warning too - but little flooding like that. Stay safe and dry!

Disturbing. I hope the forecast is more promising.
Wow, and we already swimming in the sea! Hope it doesn't last a lot.
Oh, wow, and boy do I remember those floods in the PNW. Your photos are great! We are just waiting for rain here in Mexico. Susan, be sure and enter the rain contest! Que le vaya bien, LInda Lou
awesome to watch mother nature--from a safe distance
we could use some of that rain down in these parts...
personally i love that 'foreboding' time before a storm - lovely images
ack!!!!! i hope things will be ok. it looks scary. mother nature trumps all. may she be kind to you.
She is totally supreme. So strange how where we live we constantly struggle with not enough water, and at the same exact time there are places that are flooding.
Beauty - even in the severe. Keep safe - and send some of that rain down to Austin, will you please?
That first photo is especially evocative.
I hope all is well. Send some of that rain this way. xoxo
a little to close for comfort!
