oh, i can remember the scent!! i'm having a lovely setting this morning too...at lake darling in minnesota. i'll visit my mom in a nursing home later today. right now, though, the coffee and scenery are wonderful...
I love peonies. Can't grow them where I live. Too hot. My mom had them - large and beautiful. Dependable every year. Can't say that about a lot of stuff.

We've been enjoying peonies on our kitchen table all week too.
i adore peonies - right down to the ants that crawl all over them doing their job of opening the blooms!
