Now that the river has gone down we have a lovely little spot to swim.....

This looks to be an absolutely idyllic spot and to have it so close to home is, indeed, something very special. And the dogs, well certainly Macey, seem to enjoy it hugely.
Oh, that sounds awesome!!! The bottom looks rocky, not muddy...which is a good thing, right?
you are fortunate to have this river to commune with......there is something sacred about having a relationship with any body of water but rivers have their own very special energy. you describe it so beautifully, sue~
That brings back so many memories for me -I grew up on the banks of a river. So much fun and so relaxing - I'm a wee bit jealous!
