There is so much power in the group effort...last year at this time the girlfriends put on a fundraiser for a sweet couple we know that have major health problems. We met to designate responsibility and then we all just did our part. The fundraiser took place 40 miles from the closest town, in a rural hall, in the middle of the Slocan Valley. We had a bar serving wine and beer, barbecued up some amazing food, huge silent auction, a live band, lots of raffles and 50/50 draws. Maybe 100 people showed up but they all came with money to spend. At the end of the day we gathered in the kitchen to count the take. Then we handed our friends a plastic bag with $17,000 in it. Wow! .....yes, we can can......

What a wonderful endeavor. How thoughtful of all of you to do so. There are special halos for angels like you and your friends. I think that you'll have extra sparklies for being dear hearts. Congrats on being authentic and sharing it with others. Yay for the recepients of that love.
