trumpeter swans.....

It is a cold, crisp,  -13 C.  this morning on the Slocan River. Winter is long here but there are lots of wonders to behold every day. All morning we have been watching a flock of trumpeter swans feeding on the river. Ducks hang out with them to scoop the aquatic greens that the swans disrupt. The stellar jays were unimpressed by it all.......but Macey ran like the wind to check it out......(she was a little tired of watching everything through the window!)
